Why Countryside?

Experienced, exceptional, empowering faculty

Our exceptional faculty at Countryside Day includes internationally recognized, innovative teachers. The hallmark of their work is their role as mentor to each individual student. As a result of mixed age classrooms and our unique approach to education, CDS teachers have a deep knowledge of each student: their social development, their academic achievement, and their character strengths and challenges.

We develop skills for life

As students build their academic knowledge, the CDS teaching model and school culture seamlessly weave the development of character into all that the students do. It isn’t character curriculum. It is actual practice and preparation for life in adulthood.

Our students achieve their personal best

While we focus on more than traditional academics, academic excellence is at the core of everything we do. Our teachers challenge and support students through rigorous, personalized, student-paced curriculum— helping every student recognize personal strengths, overcome struggles and achieve his/her personal best in all academic areas.

“ There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of Countryside and feel grateful that my children were able to experience what a school should be.”
